Deacons: Those who lead by serving.

Pastor/Elders: Those who serve by leading.

About our Lead pastor…

Pastor Dale Huntington was raised in the Bahai faith.
For a season he became agnostic but ultimately gave his life to Jesus.
Born in Visalia, California, his parents moved him to Gardenia, California where he experienced poverty and the beauty of the inner city.

His parents then moved him to Chula Vista, CA in the 90’s and San Diego has felt like home ever since. Dale came to faith in his junior year at Bonita Vista High School. Dale is annoying about his faith because he is so grateful to be saved and wants to tell everyone.

He “smokes what he sells.” He also believes that Christians, should be about the business of justice and empowering those in poverty. He served for almost eight years on the Southeast San Diego planning group and was vice chair and chair for different seasons.
He participates in the the Season of Peace, (No Shots fired) group, working toward non violence in the Southeast, San Diego community.
He believes gang members, drug dealers, drug addicts, the mentally ill and the police deserve to be treated with respect as image bearers of God.

Dale has been in many bands including the punk bands Loose End,
Inside Joke and Big Deel. He also led worship in a touring worship band,
Shine Like Stars for over a decade. He still records music in his free time as a side hustle. Dale loves to surf and play guitar or any instruments he can get his hands on. He loves to learn about history and culture.
He’s a failed gardener and a pretty good chef.

He is married to Ashley and has two children, Faith and Frederick.
They are all huge San Diego Padre fans and they enjoy discovering new books, watching Star Wars and Marvel movies.

His favorite books are:
—The Great Divorce by CS LEWIS
—Blue Like Jazz by Miller
—Anna Karinina by Tolstoy
—Misreading Scripture through western eyes by Richards
—The Idiot by Dostoyevsky
—Destiny of the Republic by Millard
